Write for us
We welcome pitches that explore the less visible parts of sporting life with care, specificity and a clear point of view. Send proposals through the Contact page; please do not submit a finished article unless requested.
What we welcome
Consider ideas about kit and its meanings, the routines and spaces around sport, sporting identity, or the changes that come with a new role or season. A strong contribution gives readers a fresh way to understand a distinct subject without treating an athlete as a character in a made-up story.
A useful pitch
Tell us the subject, the central question, why it suits Silver Athlete Network and how you would handle sources or first-hand material. Mention any relevant experience plainly, but do not assume a pitch will be accepted or that we can offer payment.
Care with people
Do not speculate about private lives, health, relationships or motives. Pitches should respect consent, distinguish observation from fact and avoid using personal details merely to create drama.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Include a working title and a concise outline; please do not send confidential material or personal information about someone else.
An athlete is more than a result
Sport shapes life, but it does not define every part of a person. We look closely at what sits around the performance, without pretending to know an athlete’s private thoughts.
